Philorum Online Text is an online written conversation in a group. Anyone can participate at anytime. You don't have to come to Philorum Real World to participate in Philorum Online, Text.
We are currently using Reddit, a social bookmarking forum. This is an organisation external to Philorum. That entails:
- You have to create an account with Reddit.
- Your posts live on their servers, not Philorum's.
- Your posts will disappear if Reddit disappears.
- We are subject to their whims and rules. Happily, they have been supporters of a robust freedom of speech.
To use Philorum Online, Text do the following:
- Read Philorum Online, Text. Freedom of Speech Policies.
- Read about Reddit's posting etiquette, Reddiquette. These apply generally to posts on reddit. Some of these may not apply, or need adapting, for Philorum Online, Text.
- Create an account with Reddit.
- Go to Philorum Online Text
Mobile users (on Apple iOS or Android) can use a Reddit App to participate in Philorum Online Text. For example using the Android App Reddit is fun you can get Philorum Online Text by:
- Open the "Reddit is fun" app.
- Open the menu. Click "Pick subreddit".
- Enter "PhilorumOnlineText" in the text box. Click "Go".
